WHO WE ARE
Welcome to the Global Chamber on African Trade, Rights and Economic Development (GCATRED)
GCATRED is not a traditional chamber of commerce. We are a diplomatic and developmental platform, built by Africans, for Africa, to bridge the continent’s vast potential with a global economy that must become more inclusive, ethical and sustainable.
Our mandate spans trade facilitation, ethical investment, human rights, digital transformation, peace and stability and the celebration of Africa’s cultural and creative power. We align every action with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, the AfCFTA and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, not as a claim of partnership, but as a public commitment to the continent’s own blueprints.

We align our strategic objectives with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the principles of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement. This means our goals are consistent with these frameworks. It does not mean we are formally partnered with or endorsed by these organisations.
